Evergreen Nature School is a fully outdoor education program in Lexington, Kentucky, inspired by the Scandinavian Forest School model and influenced by the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf approaches.

Through a child-led, teacher-guided philosophy, children build strong foundations in literacy, math, science, Spanish, and social-emotional development through meaningful, hands-on experiences in nature.

As a nomadic school, we explore parks, forests, creeks, and trails, allowing children to investigate diverse ecosystems, embrace new challenges, and develop confidence through real-world learning.

Our immersive outdoor approach cultivates curiosity, creativity, resilience, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning while helping children thrive both in nature and beyond.
