Evergreen Ambassador Program
Evergreen invites a limited number of families each season to join our Ambassador Program. Ambassadors receive a partial tuition discount in exchange for helping us grow by sharing Evergreen in their communities and welcoming new families.
Because we do not receive outside donations, this program allows us to keep tuition more accessible while ensuring Evergreen’s sustainability.

Evergreen Nature School serves families in both Lexington and Louisville, using local parks and natural spaces as an extension of our learning environment.
In Lexington, our primary locations are Waveland, The Arboretum, Veterans Park, and McConnell Springs.
In Louisville, we primarily meet at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park, Historic Locust Grove, and Hounz Lane Park.
We also take occasional field trips to local farms, museums, trails, and other enriching community spaces.
Each location offers its own unique flora, fauna, landscapes, and seasonal discoveries, giving children new opportunities to explore and connect with the natural world throughout the year.
Enrolled families receive a monthly location calendar in advance so they can easily plan ahead and know where their child’s group will be meeting each day.

Connecting children with nature and learning Spanish
Evergreen Nature School offers a unique approach to education, focusing on discovery, cooperation, exploration, and problem-solving. Our early learning program is an innovative alternative to traditional preschool and kindergarten programs, providing a non-academic nature immersion experience with an emphasis on Spanish language learning. Research shows that exposing children to different languages at an early age allows for easier absorption and future language acquisition. That's why all of our staff are fluent in Spanish and prioritize speaking it throughout the day, promoting natural language immersion through constant repetition and engagement.
At Evergreen, we believe in spending every day outside, rain or shine, to fully embrace nature and all its teachings. This allows for fun and engaging learning opportunities that are often missed when staying indoors. We encourage children to take risks and develop their own ideas, rather than teaching them what to think. Our main goals are to foster curiosity, kindness, self-confidence, resilience, and a love for learning and nature.
Give your child the gift of self-inquiry, cooperative learning, and experiential education with Evergreen Nature School. Start their educational journey the right way, with nature immersion at the core.
Our program runs yearly from September to May, and we hold Summer Camps June-August.
